Natural Breeding Arrangements: Stud fee for breeding to Hacker is $600 (12/03). $100 is nonrefundable and due at the time of breeding. The remaining balance is due when the AKC litter registration is sent for signature. Copies of AKC registration, Hip OFA, Eye clearance, and negative Brucellosis test are required prior to breeding. Two to three ties will be attempted. It is essential that females be up to date on all typical shots (rabies, kennel cough, distemper, etc.) for their protection as well as all dogs at the kennel. Stud fee will be reduced to $200/pup if less than three pups result in a litter. No boarding fee will be charged for seven days. Starting day eight, boarding charge will be $15/day. We recommend working with your veterinarian regarding progesterone testing for optimum time for breeding. This is usually day 11 through 14. All local veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner. No costs will be incurred without permission unless it is an emergency.

Fresh Chilled Semen Breeding Arrangements: Stud fee for breeding to Hacker is $600 which is due prior to semen shipment. Copies of AKC registration, Hip OFA, and eye clearance are required prior to breeding. Stud fee will be reduced to $200/pup if less than three pups result in a litter. If no pups result from the breeding, stud fee will be reduced to $200. Owner of the female is responsible for all veterinary semen collection and shipping costs. Frozen Semen Breeding Arrangements: Stud fee for breeding to Hacker is $600 which is due prior to semen shipment. Copies of AKC registration, Hip OFA, and eye clearance are required prior to breeding. Stud fee will be reduced to $200/pup if less than three pups result in a litter. If no pups result from the breeding, stud fee will be reduced to $200. Hacker's frozen semen is collected and stored at the International Canine Semen Bank (ICSB) in Portland, OR. ICSB's research in canine reproduction and semen cryopreservation began in 1971 and is still ongoing. ICSB has produced a live litter of puppies with semen frozen for 30 years. Frozen semen breeding costs for owners of bitches are: $30 tank rental ($9.00/day starting on day 8), $50 retrieval fee, and shipping (average charge is $100-$175). For standard shipping fees, ICSB needs to be notified within three working days prior to shipment. Additional charges result if ICSB is notified in less than three working days.
